Material Notes

Material Notes

Natural materials don’t stay the same — and that’s not a problem to fix. Cotton softens. Linen relaxes. Fibers that have been washed a hundred times feel different than they did on day one. Often better. Understanding that changes how you choose things, and how long you keep them.

Material Notes

01 Cotton

Made from the cotton plant, cotton fiber is commonly used for towels, bedding, and everyday clothing. Known for its softness, absorbency, and durability, it becomes even gentler after repeated washing and daily use.

Material Notes

02 Linen

Made from the flax plant, linen fiber is commonly used for linen gauze towels, summer garments, and bedding. Known for its breathability and quick-drying feel, it offers a light texture with a naturally dry touch.

Material Notes

03 Bamboo

Made from bamboo plants, bamboo fiber is commonly used for towels, innerwear, and home textiles. Known for its moisture absorption and breathable feel, it offers a smooth texture with a naturally cool sensation.

Material Notes

04 Wood Fiber

Made from wood pulp, wood fibers such as TENCEL™, Modal, and Rayon are commonly used for towels, clothing, and bedding. Known for their smoothness and softness, they feel gentle against the skin with a light and fluid touch.

Material Notes

05 Washi

Washi fiber comes from traditional Japanese paper-making plants, but it does not feel like paper towels. Instead, it feels light, breathable, and dry to the touch, with a unique airy texture.

Care Guide

Most towels wear out faster than they should — not because of the material, but because of how they’re washed.

Low heat. No fabric softener. Don’t over-dry. It’s not complicated, but it makes a real difference.

Helpful Tip
Before first use, rinse once to remove any loose lint and improve absorbency.

Care Guide
Care Guide

Wash at 30°C or Below

Wash with cold water or at temperatures up to 30°C / 86°F to help protect the fibers.

Care Guide

Use Mild Detergent

Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and optical brighteners to help preserve softness and color.

Care Guide

Gentle Cycle Recommended

Use a gentle or delicate cycle to reduce friction and help extend the towel’s life.

Care Guide

Do Not Bleach

Bleach can weaken cotton fibers and may cause discoloration over time.

Care Guide

Tumble Dry Low or Air Dry

Tumble dry on low heat or hang to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight to help keep towels soft and colors true.

Care Guide

Avoid High Heat and Overdrying

High heat can cause shrinkage and stiffness. Use low heat or air dry for best results.

Ritual Living

Ritual Living

Not every routine needs to be optimized. Some are just worth doing the same way, every day, without thinking too hard about it. These are notes on those kinds of moments.

Ritual Living

01 Cotton

A cotton towel becomes part of everyday life without needing attention. The same towel after a morning shower, the same familiar softness before bed — simple routines repeated quietly over time.

Ritual Living

02 Linen

Linen feels most natural in slow mornings and warm afternoons. Sunlight through the window, air moving through the room, a towel that feels light, dry, and easy to live with.

Ritual Living

03 Bamboo

Bamboo fits calm evening routines after long days. A warm shower, cooler skin, softer lighting — its smooth and breathable touch feels especially quiet at night.

Ritual Living

04 Wood Fiber

Wood fiber towels suit slower, more minimal spaces. Clean surfaces, soft light, quiet routines after water — a smooth texture that feels gentle without demanding attention.

Ritual Living

05 Washi

Washi feels connected to air, space, and simplicity. A dry towel hanging near an open window, light moving through the room, everyday comfort that feels clean and unhurried.
